A wet, grey windy night but Dave, John, Myles and myself met at the Pendam car park and headed off on the MBR Killer Loop to do battle with the elements.

My ribs were hurting from my windsurf crash earlier in the day and were sore from the start. The first bit out to the Bont Goch descent weren't too bad although Myles did manage to plough through a puddle that was MUCH deeper than he'd expected.

On the big climb back up to Nant y Moch Myles and I had a bit of a battle. Both of us were at the limit, my ribs were killing me with the effort of breathing but I could tell Myles was suffering too so coudn't ease up. It was good to push each other though.

We then met Andrew on the trail and had a bit of a chat before heading off around towards Angler's Retreat and then back to Pendam via Sidewinder and Hippity Hop.

My ribs were killing me on the way back and I just wanted to get back and rest them. They still hurt a fair bit this morning so I think it's going to be a while before they are back to normal.

A good ride though despite the horrible conditions.
